Photo blog Field Condition featured a construction update at 98 Front Street, where the concrete superstructure for the 10-story collection of Dumbo condominiums has topped out. The beautiful images show the building’s blocky concrete facade, which uses the same materials as the neighborhood's iconic warehouses while presenting a modern shape that combines the old and new into something unique. Builders are now installing the oversized windows, which are sound-attenuated in order to block outside noise and preserve heat as part of the building’s LEED-qualifying sustainable design. When complete, 98 Front Street will be home to 165 studio to four-bedroom residences with views of Downtown Manhattan.
