Styling a new home can be equal parts exciting and intimidating at the best of times, but unprecedented demand and hiccups in the supply chain have recently made buying new furniture a more stressful experience. DUMBO condominium 98 Front Street is within walking distance of West Elm and M Collection Home, but a recent partnership with Tara Benet and Eqpt Residences will allow newly arrived residents to prepare magazine-ready interiors without leaving the building.
Ms. Benet is an award-winning interior designer whose work has been featured in Mansion Global, Architectural Digest 360, Wallpaper*, HGTV, and Robb Report. In addition to having her own firm, she serves as the lead designer for Eqpt (pronounced “equipped”). Ms. Benet and Eqpt have recently styled three model units at 98 Front Street, and developer Hope Street Capital will provide a credit toward a consultation with Ms. Benet, design fees, furniture purchase, and white-glove installation.
Following the consultation with Ms. Benet, Eqpt will create a 3D, photorealistic rendering of the fully furnished residence. If the buyers like what they see, Eqpt’s dedicated concierge team will coordinate logistics like purchasing, scheduling delivery, assembly, and cleanup.
98 Front Street’s eye-catching, "concrete-sculpted" design by ODA New York has resulted in over 100 unique floor plans with excellent bones for the newly designed homes. All apartments feature open layouts, oversized sound-attenuated windows, 10’ ceilings, 5” wide white oak flooring, 8’ solid core doors, Butterfly MX smart video intercoms, and Latch keyless smart door locks. Imported Italian kitchens feature integrated Bosch appliances, blonde wood cabinets, and white Corian countertops. Baths are outfitted with radiant heated marble flooring, oversized showers or Maax tubs, custom Laufen sinks, vertical recessed medicine cabinets, and custom oak shelving. Half the apartments feature private outdoor space.
